Mr Macha

The Legend of Mr Macha

It was a steamy afternoon in August 2023. The kind of day when a fresh, cool shower is all you crave. But as we scoured our shower racks, a shocking revelation hit us – where were the soaps for men? More specifically, where were the soaps for the radiant Indian skin type? Every bottle, every bar from big-shot brands seemed to scream “CHEMICALS GALORE!”

Enter Mr. Macha.
India, with its deep-rooted knowledge of Ayurveda, natural medicine, and centuries of soap-making traditions, seemed to have forgotten its own treasure trove. We thought, “There’s a galaxy of nature’s goodies out there, so why were men getting the short end of the soapstick?”
In our mission to suds-up the situation, Mr. Macha was born. Crafted with everything nature-loving, ethically sourced, and organic, we created a soap that not only talks the talk but walks the bubbly walk.

Now, meet the Macha Mavericks,
the trio that made it all happen:

Col Sanjay Pande
This man’s seen more action than a Bollywood blockbuster. With 25 years in the Army, he’s trekked the roughest terrains and has stories that would make even a bear shudder. Not just an Army stalwart, he’s also a serial entrepreneur who knows a thing or two about carving niches. If there’s anyone who understands the need for an invigorating, natural clean after a long day, it’s him!
Shubhankar
From the lavish corridors of an MBB firm to the unpredictable hustle of a startup, Shubhankar ditched the tie and boardroom banter to leap into the world of Mr. Macha. Swapping spreadsheets for soaps, he’s on a mission to ensure men aren’t just picking any soap, but choosing their soap with pride.
Nachi
Our resident Soapmeister. If soap-making were an art, Nachi would be its Picasso. Beyond his lathering expertise, he’s also our management wizard, ensuring that every Macha move we make is strategic, suave, and superbly scented.

Branding and Design

Ezgi

Hello bubble connoisseurs! allow us to introduce you to the mastermind behind our beloved mascot, Veeru. Our soap-loving superhero is none other than Ezgi Ozbakkaloglu, affectionately known as “The Hound.” With a twinkle in her eye and the strongest sense of smell, she can scope out bad odour from miles away.

Ezgi is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. Besides complaining about the cold, she creates award winning short films, merchandise for big brands like KFC and experiments with printmaking techniques. You can check out her work at https://ezgioz.com.

But how did it all begin, you ask? Well, legend has it that Ezgi once had a profound conversation with a bar of soap. It whispered sweet things about sustainability, natural ingredients, and the importance of eco-friendly packaging. That chat sparked a soap revolution!

Indraneil

Gather ’round, soap enthusiasts and sudsy adventurers! Today, we unveil the creative genius who shaped our soap packaging and wove the tapestry of our brand identity.

In a world where soap dreams and foam fantasies collide, we introduce you to Indraneil Ghosh, affectionately dubbed “The Pretentious.” With a love for all things A24, he never misses a chance to use his film camera every day. I bet he makes packaging to fuel his expensive habit.

Indraneil is an industrial designer and engineer based in Glasgow, Scotland. With a focus on playfulness and emotions, he creates sustainable products that are ready for the market. You can check out his projects at https://indraneilghosh.com.

Together, we’re not just creating a brand; we’re sculpting a legacy, one bubbly bar at a time. Welcome to the Macha Revolution!
